AfriQ nSALSA Music & Community Well-being Programme
AfriQ nSALSA is a community music and wellbeing programme delivered by El-Bethel Mission. It provides regular music activities for children, young people and older people, develops music skills and creative career opportunities, and organises inclusive events for the wider community. Through music, movement, learning and performance, the programme promotes confidence, wellbeing, creativity and stronger community connections.
The programme is structured around three strands: Music for Well-being, Music Skills and Creative Career Development, and Community Music Events. Through after-school sessions, workshops, rehearsals, performances and community celebrations, AfriQ nSALSA creates a safe and joyful space where culture becomes a bridge, music becomes a language of hope, and movement becomes a tool for healing, identity and belonging.
AfriQ nSALSA especially encourages participation from children, young people, older adults, families and community groups, helping to build confidence, creative skills, intergenerational friendships and positive cultural pride.
